This includes supervising Fire Alarm and VESDA systems 2D, 3D, and BIM designers and managers. The role also involves effective communication with the design team, project managers, and clients, while maintaining high standards of quality, documentation, and compliance.\n#shambaugh #Northstar #LI-DF #LI-Onsite\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\n100% on-site position to lead design functions.\nOversee daily on-site and remote working environments for fire alarm and VESDA design.\nOversee all design related RFI’s for the project.\nValidate scope matches the contract and redline changes as needed.\nReport daily constraints and productivity using standard formats and portals.\nEvaluate and approve client deliverables such as product submittals, shop drawings, IFF’s, etc.\nAttend all LSS discipline workgroup meetings with GCs on a weekly basis.\nAssist in the management of the schedule and ensure the design team maintains the schedule.\nManage budget and provide reports according to requirements.\nCoordinate with the management team daily, weekly, monthly, 90 Day, and other reporting documents for lookahead planning and execution.\nReport any scheduling delays, personnel issues, safety concerns/incidents to your direct supervisor in a timely manner.\nReport on-site manpower to Daily Diary process manager.\nEnsure the company’s design equipment, vehicles, and tools are safe, clean and well maintained in accordance with company policies.\nReview of all design employees according to company policy.\nEnsure that the work is performed in a safe manner.\nFulfill all other duties as assigned and needed between the demand.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or state-recognized GED, associate or bachelor’s degree.\n10+ years of experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry in a leadership role.\n10+ years of experience with designing Edwards and VESDA systems with Revit is recommended for this positon.\nMust be able to demonstrate knowledge of local and national fire alarm codes (NFPA, IFC, ADA, UL, IBC, IEC, NEC, etc.) and regulations as well as the ability to read and understand drawings and specifications and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams.\nExperience with Microsoft Office, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam etc.\nStrong analytical, critical thinking and mathematical aptitude, with attention to detail.\nGood working knowledge of sophisticated fire detection and alarm systems and ability to read and understand blueprints.\nAbility to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities under time constraints.\nNICET IV certified, Autodesk certified, BIM certified individuals preferred.\nRegular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
