This position is responsible for providing timely estimates and proposals to customers, managing fire alarm projects. This role includes project management and coordination of trades, ensuring successful project completion and customer satisfaction.\n#shambaugh #Northstar #LI-DF #LI-Onsite\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nEstimate, sell, and manage fire alarm projects.\nRead, analyze, and interpret blueprints, contract documents, and project specifications.\nDevelop and maintain positive relationships with customers.\nCoordinate materials and trades to ensure smooth project execution.\nOversee designers and other project staff.\nAttend job meetings, start-up meetings, and understand the complete scope of work required for a project.\nReview and understand all project bid documents, specs, and drawings.\nEnsure timely and complete preparation of submittal drawings and calculations by the design team.\nComplete or assist in submitting accurate, timely, and complete estimates and change order quotes.\nCoordinate with the Customer for scheduling and project timeline.\nDevelop and maintain a design, stock listing, delivery, and installation schedule for the project.\nCommunicate with purchasing and fab shop to ensure timely material arrival.\nAssist accounting staff with billing needs.\nSchedule and lead necessary communication and meetings with internal and external clients.\nReview job sites to observe installation, verify completion, and ensure compliance with design.\nActively track job progress to verify the project is on schedule and under budget.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nFire Alarm, VESDA, and other Fire Protection Construction experience preferred.\nProficiency in Word, Excel, and spreadsheets.\nExcellent multitasking and project management skills.\nValid driver’s license and excellent driving record.\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.\nSelf-motivated and driven to achieve high productivity standards.\nStrong computer technical experience.\nCommitment to providing top-notch customer service.\nSuccessful completion of an employment background check is required.\nExperience in designing and managing various types of projects.\nExcellent communicator in both written and verbal forms.\nTeam player with the ability to motivate others.\nPositive attitude and good interpersonal skills.\nAbility to travel to team project sites\nRegular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required\nBenefits\nWe are committed to providing Shambaugh & Son employees and their families with a comprehensive benefits package.
