Working closely with leaders across the organization, you will help create a positive employee experience while ensuring operational excellence and compliance.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nLead and enhance HR programs that support employees throughout their careers, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, talent management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and development. \nOversee weekly field payroll and biweekly office payroll accurately and on time.\nMonitor and ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage requirements.\nEnsure Certified Payroll reports are prepared and submitted timely.\nBuild and execute recruiting strategies that attract talented people who can contribute to our continued growth.\nDevelop a deep understanding of long-term, strategic needs of the organization, including partnering with Company leadership to provide insight into workforce needs to support the future plans of the organization. \nServe as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing practical guidance on workplace matters, employee development, policies, and HR best practices. \nNavigate complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, fairness, and discretion, including conducting timely and thorough workplace investigations. \nMaintain compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations, including Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, and NLRA. \nManage and support a union workforce, including maintaining constructive labor relations, administering collective bargaining agreements, and partnering with leaders on union-related matters. \nIdentify and implement practical improvements that make HR processes, policies, and employee experiences more effective. \nBuild strong relationships with leadership and across the organization through a visible on-site presence that fosters trust, collaboration, and accessibility for employees and leaders. \nPerform other duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. \nAt least eight years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated success supporting a broad range of HR functions. Experience in the service, construction or related industry preferred. \nExperience processing certified payroll. \nExtensive experience with Certified Payroll, Davis-Bacon, and prevailing wage requirements preferred.\nWorking knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws. \nExperience managing employee relations matters and conducting workplace investigations. \nExperience managing HR matters in a union environment, including labor relations and collective bargaining agreement administration. \nExceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with sound judgment and the ability to present recommendations persuasively and credibly. \nA collaborative style and the ability to earn trust and build effective relationships at every level of the organization. \nStrong organization, attention to detail, time management, project management, and follow-through. \nInitiative and agility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver timely results. \nAbility to analyze information, synthesize findings, recommend solutions, and engage appropriate stakeholders. \nAbility to balance company, customer, and employee needs. \nProficiency with Microsoft O365, HRIS, and payroll systems.\nValid driver's license and ability to travel. \nAbility to work on-site five days per week. \nBenefits\nR&R Mechanical recognizes that our people are essential to our success.
