We have experience working with some of the largest mechanical contractors in Florida, striving to be the state’s go-to choice for controls installation.\nAs a division of EMCOR Services MSI (MSI), we back their extensive expertise with our broad HVAC and mechanical capabilities.\nWe are a Drug Free Workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.\nJob Title: Low-Voltage Installer\nDepartment: Controls\nFLSA Status: Hourly\nReports to: Controls Manager\nSalary: Commensurate with experience + Benefits\nJOB SUMMARY: Calibrated Controls seeks a Low-Voltage Installer to assist in the installation of conduit, wire, able, equipment, components, and devices associated with energy management systems including electric/electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nRead, review, and execute project related documents such as blueprints, drawings, project scope, budgets, deadlines, and sequence of operation for proper execution requirements\nLearn from and support your field foremen.\nFollow wire and conduit run plans and be able to comprehend your part in the project.\nLabel and pull wires from beginning to end.\nMount control panels and wire in power while using basic electrical tools.\nMount junction boxes and other electrical connection devices.\nInstallation of conduit and cabling management & support infrastructure systems while using basic electrical tools.\nRun and bend conduit as needed. \nWire panels and devices with PTP drawings.\nLearn to layout of Mechanical Room for conduit and device locations.\nLearn to troubleshoot or identify communication issues.\nLearn to map and install transformer banks.\nLearn to troubleshoot and repair circuits, wiring, devices, and networks (know how to use a multimeter)\nProvide trust & leadership to your whole team as well as customers\nBuild & wire BAS control panels (in-shop or in-field)\nOther Job Duties (Duties listed are not intended to be all inclusive nor to limit duties that might be assigned)\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n0-5+ years’ industry experience is desired\nEducation and Experience:\nCandidate is required to be organized, detail oriented and have time management skills.\nMust be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, or in a team atmosphere while acting responsibly and maintaining a professional attitude.\nMust be able to work in constricted spaces.\nValid Florida Driver's License.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nDemonstrate basic level aptitude as it relates to control systems.\nGood written and verbal communications skills.\nKnowledge of good customer service techniques.\nCongenial personality and a helpful attitude.\nPhysical activities of standing, balancing, climbing stairs and ladders, walking and lifting of weights of 50 lbs or more are required in daily performance of job.
