Responsible for the proper planning and control of spare parts inventory which includes determining essential spare parts to stock and manage inventory volume based on consumption and production needs. Fulfill customer requirements at the lowest total delivered cost while maintaining optimal inventory levels. May also include leading refurbishment activities through the Refurb Coordinator duties and supporting the management of inventory health. This role does not handle raw materials or bulk process chemicals for manufacturing, waste water treatment, Utilities or machine clothing, etc\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nPerforms daily MRP controlling duties (replenishment of Safety Stock and the ordering of other parts and supplies to meet demand)Communicate delivery date revisions\nExpedite parts for breakdowns\nEmergency stock transfers to/from other mills\nEnsure orders are scheduled to arrive in time for shutdowns\n\nManage inventory levels using Inventory Health processes, tools & metricsMaintain appropriate stocking levels of critical parts \nReview material shortage reports\nMaterial Mater Data maintenance (new material creation, material changes, etc.) \n\nAssist team with inventory cycle counting\nSupports:Leading refurbishment activities through the Refurb Coordinator duties and supporting the management of inventory health \nManagement of interim bins in the SAP system \nSupport the continuous analyze the disposition process of obsolete/surplus material and recommend changes to support facility objectives. \nManagement of write-offs, obsolete parts, and scrapping\nManagement of material transfers in warehouse\nProblem solves during urgent machine down situations by creatively finding solutions to minimize downtime. \nContribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results\nAct as expert/training resource within the mill/plant for the materials management portion of SAP for MRP and Inventory Management including training less experienced personnel on established methods and facilitate transfer of technical knowledge in the incumbent’s area of expertise while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience\nSupports an environment in which safety is a known value and leadership responsibilities for loss prevention and control are embraced\nHelping maintain housekeeping including keeping all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled\n\nQualifications\nTechnical School or High School diploma/certificate or equivalent with additional equivalent experience\nMinimum of 3-5 years of logistics, warehousing, spare parts management and SAP experience\nStrong computer skills using Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to utilize SAP systems and processes for ordering, receiving, storing and issuing parts and supplies. Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to learn/fully utilize\nExcellent communication skills, both oral and written.
