This position assists in maintaining accurate project financial information, monitoring project performance, and supporting financial reporting activities. It is essential that the individual in this position establishes and maintains positive working relationships with management, staff and customers.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nParticipate in monthly project review meeting, documenting follow-up items and necessary ECAC adjustment.\nFollow up on action items from project review meeting, coordinating with Project Managers, Accounts Payable, Billing, and other accounting personnel to ensure timely resolution.\nReview newly booked jobs and change orders for assigned branches to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and audit requirements.\nMonitor project financial reports throughout the month, identify discrepancies, and assist with necessary adjustments and outstanding billing follow-up to support accurate month-end WIP reporting.\nReview job status and close jobs in Coins that are complete, monthly.\nAssist with gathering financial information from the Northern California Division liaison for reporting and month-end close.\nSupport internal and external audits by gathering and reviewing billing and project-related documentation.\nPrepare and distribute financial and project-related reports, following up with Project Managers and management as needed.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.\n3 + years’ experience working in business administration.\nExperience in project accounting is a plus.\nStrong Excel skills\nUnderstanding Coins Accounting Software is a plus.\nTech-savvy and adaptable to new technologies; familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other AI tools.\nUnderstanding WIP and construction-based accounting in general is required.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nSelf-motivated, dependable, and accountable, with the ability to manage assignments and follow through on responsibilities.\nGood communicator, both written and oral.\n#Mesa #LI-Mesa #LI-HVACjobs #LI-Onsite\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
