Combining leading-edge technology, open-protocol solutions, and customized service, we help clients improve building management for greater efficiency, comfort, and security.\nJob Summary\nControl Solutions Group, Inc., an EMCOR Group company, seeks an Project Manager, Building Management Systems (BMS) to join our New York City team.\nIn this role, the Project Manager oversees and coordinates multiple building automation installation projects within a dynamic construction environment while managing project contracts, accounting, and resource allocation. This role acts as a critical liaison, developing strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. The position requires a process-oriented leader who can adapt to short deadlines, handle up to 25% travel, and maintain a solid familiarity with BAS, BMS, DDC, and energy management systems.\nExperience with controls, BMS, BAS, DDC, Building Automation, Building Management, EPMS and Energy Management Systems is preferred.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nCoordinate and manage multiple automation installation projects while remaining organized.\nMaintain project accounting and contracts.\nDevelop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with members of the company, clients, subcontractors and other contacts.\nAnticipate and be able to meet short and/or unpredictable deadlines.\nUnderstand and conform to company policies and procedures.\nRecognize and utilize the company’s resources effectively and efficiently.\nPlan, organize and carry out assigned job responsibilities within established time parameters.\nContinuously seek to improve knowledge of required job skills and stay abreast of industry changes.\nAssume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by management.\nTravel Required up to 25%\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in EE, ME, CE, Math or Physics\nMinimum of 5-years project management experience in HVAC control and automation or equivalent industry experience in the NYC Metro area.\nExtensive computer and automation experience.\nThorough understanding of the construction process.\nDemonstrated track record of completing projects on schedule and within budget.\nExcellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.\nCompetent working with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.\nKnowledge of electrical wiring and schematics.\nAble to write, edit and understand sequences of operations.\nAble to read and understand project drawings and specifications.\nHave excellent oral/written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with consulting engineers regarding design, implementation and commissioning.\nA knowledge of Automated Logic controls preferred.\nWork Environment\nThis position is based in our New York City office.\nBenefits\nWe are committed to providing employees a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability, a 401(k) Savings Plan, College Coach and employee assistance program.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
