Must be willing to travel. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.\n#SIC\n#LI On-Site\n#LI-VB1\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nSupervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in erecting and operating machines to hoist and convey machinery and equipment. Displays crew leadership.\nSpecify locations for movement and erection of derricks, hoists, and cranes, using knowledge of various methods of sliding and lifting equipment.\nDirect workers engaged in splicing ropes and metal cables to form hoisting slings.\nSupervise and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers.\nInterpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.\nMaintains time records.\nInterpret company policies to workers, and enforces safety regulations.\nEstablish and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.\nStudy schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.\nAnalyze and resolve work problems.\nCoordinate the movement of equipment and material according to visual signals and directions.\nDetect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.\nPerform frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, tools, and employees in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program. \nAppropriate journeyman experience required.\nRegular attendance is required.\nSignificant travel may be required.\nPerforms other duties as required.\nQualifications\nRigger Journey level minimum of 4+ years of experience. 2+ years of supervisory experience.\n\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.\nMust be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.\nStrenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.\nMust be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.\nMust be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.\nWork Environment\nConditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
