The Site Safety Manager reports to the Senior Safety Manager. Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance. The Safety Manager will be hands-on and interact with our field personnel and management team daily.Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nCollaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards, policies, and/or procedures.\nProvides technical expertise to managers and supervisors in establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards.\nPlans and conducts periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections of Miller Electric Company projects.\nConduct hazard analyses of project operations\nAssist in the update and maintenance of the company safety manual\nDevelop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for relevant tasks\nCoordinates with operating activities to provide safety training and ensures safety awareness throughout Miller Electric Company.\nWork with personnel to assure safe placement and job assignment\nAssist in the maintenance of accident record keeping\nProvide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents, incidents, injuries, and/or illnesses.\nFoster a team environment when advising on needed corrections\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nQualifications\nRequired\nBCSP credential CHST or above\nMinimum of 3 years of experience overseeing electrical contractor scope of work. This experience must include working either healthcare or data center electrical construction projects.\nOSHA 510 & OSHA 30-hour certification within the past 3 years\nFirst Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, and AED training\nNFPA 70E and LOTO competency and experience\nMental Health First Aid Training\nUnderstanding of Workers’ Compensation\nStrong technical writing ability\nA strong supporter of collaboration in an effort to gather the best solutions\nAbility to address and train groups of 25-30\nAbility to adapt to a changing work environment\nAbility to act independently with minimal daily direction\nAbility to work closely with all levels of Miller Electric Company\nHigh energy and self-motivated\nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
