The successful candidate will plan, implement, and maintain a successful training program for employees using modern tools, technologies, and blended-learning techniques. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that all employees are up-to-date and compliant with safety training and electrical industry best practices, including but not limited to OSHA, NFPA70E, and other safety standards.\nThe Training Manager will use a hybrid approach of classroom and eLearning methods to deliver engaging and interesting training to employees at specific sites, including the corporate headquarters and personnel in the field. Additionally, the Training Manager will design and distribute fundamental business principles and other topics as needed and directed by company leadership.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nThe Training Manager will use communication, training, and technology tools to do the following:\nIncorporate proven and sound instructional design methodologies to deliver effective and efficient training\nMaintain and continuously improve existing courses\nDevelop new courses in both instructor led classroom training and eLearning\nManage electronic records to track employees’ training needs and progress\nResearch OSHA, ANSI and other regulatory standards as needed to direct compliance training programs and courses\nBecome knowledgeable or a subject matter expert as needed to support and direct compliance training efforts\nBuild blended learning techniques into training such as group discussions, competitions, quizzes, brainstorming, case studies, etc. to cement the concepts in the minds of the learners \nProvide timely delivery of required training for corporate and regulatory compliance purposes\nDesign tests and quizzes that accurately test the knowledge of those who have completed training\nWork closely and communicate effectively with subject matter experts and decision makers to plan and develop required and ancillary training\nAudit and assess the changing training needs in various departments of the company, then design plans to deliver that training \nSupervise the Training Administrator(s)\nQualifications\nQualifications\nThe following qualifications are among those desired for this position:\nExperience and knowledge of both inside and outside electrical installation\nSpecific and demonstrable training experience in the construction, energy, transportation, or manufacturing industries is preferred\nCertifications (current or pending) in safety or quality including OSHA \nBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience.\nSkills & Competencies\nThe following skills are among those desired for this position:\nMicrosoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Designer\nPhoto and video editing experience such as Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, or Camtasia, or similar applications\nBusiness communication, writing, design, organization, public speaking\n“Continuous Improvement” attitude and the capacity and desire to improve your work and teach others to improve their work\nA safety mindset with the ability to see potential problems and then respond appropriately\nAnalysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation (ADDIE) model of instructional design\nExplain, Demonstrate, Imitate, Practice (EDIP) process of teaching\nRequirements\nThe Training Manager must be able to do the following:\nSpeak and interact with large and small groups of all classifications of field personnel, field management, office staff, and executive management\nUse a variety of computer programs, mobile electronic devices, and software tools proficiently\nPossess the mental acuity to focus, engage, and solve technical and organizational problems\nInvestigate, understand, explain, and organize technical details and source information for others in a concise and straightforward manner (using both the written word and verbally) \nStand for several hours at a time\nSit at a desk for long periods\nTravel to local jobsites periodically\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
