Our integrated, single-source solutions include turnkey in-house capabilities with design assistance, as well as engineering applications and automated control systems.\nJob Summary\nThe Automation Field Engineer will provide service, test, adjust, and repair new or existing electric, electronic, and mechanical automation devices and systems. It will also diagnose the cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance. The Automation Field Engineer manages multiple jobs and will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring other automation technicians.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nCommunicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Tracks and records personal job progress and keeps the Project Manager informed on progress through daily logs.\nKeeps project management appraised of customer concerns and issues.\nBasic troubleshooting of unitary controllers or able to assist others on how to resolve problems.\nWorks with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.\nCalibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals, and or laptop computers.\nUses various hand tools and equipment to diagnose, repair, and program HVAC control equipment.\nShare responsibility for the financial success of all assigned construction projects with the management team.\nWorks hand in hand with PMs and engineering team to coordinate technical aspects of construction projects.\nResponds to periodic service requests to help technician overload.\nParticipates in project oversight and foreman guidance, and QC.\nImplement Network addressing to customer (MES)standards.\nWorks with the customer IT department to configure addressing and port verifications.\nProvide technical support for building owners, GC’s and foreman during construction as needed.\nLoading controllers with pre-approved code by the engineering team or (manager)\nEnsure all controllers are labeled, configured, and ready for site delivery and installation.\nPerform start-up, commissioning, and testing of equipment and responsible for all start-up testing reports and documentation.\nPrepares for on-site testing of SOO and performing repairs as needed.\nQualifications\nAssociate’s degree or Technical School a plus.\n5+ years of direct automation experience with control systems (programming preferred).\n3+ years of industry knowledge in HVAC controls systems (Distech, Circon, Loytec)\nAbility to interface with customers\nEngineering skills required include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computer programming.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nExperience with control system architecture design, programming, or maintenance desired.\nMicrosoft software products knowledge and controls networking.\nA valid driver’s license.\n#Mesa #LI-Mesa #LI-HVACjobs #LI-Onsite\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nAs a leading provider of mechanicaland electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure,we offer employess a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and sucess.
