Candidates working on their Construction Management; Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) or related field degrees preferred. This is a paid, full-time internship that will last for 11 weeks (May 18th- July 31st). You could be working out of one of seven business units (Greensboro, NC; Raleigh, NC; Wilmington, NC; Columbia, SC; Atlanta, GA; Wilmington, NC; Austin, TX).\nThe Superintendent Intern will assist field leadership in coordinating and supervising on-site construction activities for industrial projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to construction management, safety, scheduling, and quality control. The intern will learn how to lead crews, communicate with subcontractors, and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to plans and specifications. Travel may be involved.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the Superintendent in managing daily construction site operations.\nObserve and assist with scheduling, workforce coordination, and progress tracking.\nParticipate in safety meetings, inspections, and audits; help promote a culture of safety.\nReview drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.\nCommunicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams as directed.\nAssist with quality control and documentation of completed work.\nHelp maintain site logs, daily reports, and other project records.\nSupport logistics, deliveries, and material management.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support the project team.\nQualifications\nWorking toward a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.\nBasic understanding of construction practices and terminology.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nAttention to detail and a proactive attitude.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Procore or similar project management software is a plus.\nWe offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
