Comunale is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician Trainee. The primary function of this role is to have an interest in becoming an Alarm Technician and gain knowledge and experience in training with Alarm Technicians. This candidate will also have to eventually obtain their Ohio Fire Alarm license and NICET I Certification.\nThis is a three-year training program position that requires travel.\nEssential Duties / Responsibilities:\nInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nTrain with Alarm Technicians on all basic installations.\nDevelop an understanding of how each device works and the proper installation for all.\nAttend a basic fire alarm class and an advanced fire alarm class through Nafed or AFAA.\nComplete all training modules assigned in a professional and timely manner.\nLearn and understand the basics of installing, troubleshooting, and programming both a conventional and addressable fire alarm.\nEventually be able to install/service a fire alarm with little to no supervision.\nAttend a NFPA 72 Basics code class.\nEventually gain advanced knowledge with conventional fire alarm systems.\nInstall, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and program Fire Alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call Intrusion, Sound, CCTV, and IP Video Systems.\nAccurately complete all required paperwork, such as Work Tickets and Inspection and/or Deficiency Reports, for all service calls and inspections.\nProvide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.\nProvide detailed oral and written feedback to management concerning customer issues.\nCoordinate and communicate effectively with team members and customers.\nParticipate in department on-call rotation and work flexible hours as required.\nAbility to work on low voltage systems.\nWilling & able to eventually obtain their Ohio Fire Alarm license.\nDuring third year complete NICET level 1 certification.\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
