From design to delivery, our solutions are tailored to the specific needs of high-profile organizations in commercial buildings, data centers, industrial facilities, and other mission critical sites.\nJob Summary\nDescriptionEMCOR Services Aircond Corporation\nJob Title: HVAC - Field Supervisor\nJob Location: Charlotte, NC and surrounding metro area\nJob Summary: Work closely with the District Service Manager managing the daily field operations of the group. Will handle a small agreement base that they will be responsible for performing pm and repairs, additionally catching reactive service calls when required.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\n50% of time will be spent on traditional technician duties, the remaining 50% on Field Supervisor duties listed below. Will also depend on group size and needs.\nProvide leadership, technical support and on the job training to service technicians. (Be available by phone for technical support after hours)\nAssist with the training plan for each technician.\nPerform weekly site safety inspections. Field Supervisor to rotate through the technician group. (DSM to do 1/month)\nPerform field quality inspections.\nPerform annual truck inspections for technicians.\nPerform annual ladder inspections.\nAttend monthly safety committee meetings.\nLead safety effort among technicians. Constantly stress the need for safe work practices and adherence to the “Aircond Golden Rules.”\nFill in for DSM when DSM is unavailable due to meetings or PTO.\n1st Line of contact from Dispatch in assigning calls that come in if the primary tech is unavailable or if the call is non-contract.\nProvide input to DSM for annual technician reviews.\nParticipate in the annual technician reviews.\nAssist BDM with sales meetings and surveys on smaller unitary sites. (DSM involved with any Applied jobs or Full Maintenance contracts) DSM will always approve BDM contract proposals.\nWork with other Field Supervisors and the DSM to share resources among groups as needed.\nWork with the DSM to help prepare large quotes.\nEnsure each technician has a balanced workload (i.e., good balance between contract hours and available time for billable work)\nDiscuss technicians schedule and promote safety on Monday morning weekly meeting.\nProvide input on technical issues for DSM training during safety meetings.\nHelp interview and hire new technicians.\nOther duties as required.\nQualifications:\nMinimum 5 years of experience in HVAC field operations, with at least 2 years in a\nsupervisory role.\nStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation practices, and building codes.\nExperience working on retrofit projects. \nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\nOSHA certification preferred.\nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation.\nEducation/Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in HVAC preferred\n5+ years of HVAC field experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role\nExperience managing commercial or industrial HVAC projects is highly preferred\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of HVAC systems, installation practices, and mechanical codes\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents\nFamiliarity with project management tools and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, scheduling software)\nCertifications\nEPA Universal Certification required\nOSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred\nValid driver’s license and clean driving record\nLeadership & Communication\nProven ability to lead and manage field crews\nStrong communication skills for coordinating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors\nAbility to resolve conflicts, make decisions under pressure, and maintain productivity\nWhy Join Us?\nAt EMCOR Services Aircond, you’ll be part of a team that values integrity, safety, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
