UMEC offers industry-leading building information modeling (BIM) capabilities, design/build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC services, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations. This position will lead mechanical construction projects safely on time and within budget for various markets including Healthcare, Life Science, Commercial, Industrial and a wide range of other markets.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nNote: This is not intended to be neither a detailed nor comprehensive description on any individual employee’s job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.\nThe Project Manager has the following duties which include safety of UMEC field personnel assigned to the projects, field labor productivity, quality assurance and coordination, project financial outcome, projections and reporting, material and equipment procurement, change order management, owner/client relations, project cash flow, and personnel management. Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs. Other duties may be assigned. Managers are responsible for directing and overseeing the work activities of their direct reports and to be available during the hours that any direct reports are working.\nCOMPUTER SKILLS\nAble to effectively operate the following computer software programs - Microsoft (Excel, Works, Project, Access, and Powerpoint), Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software.\nREQUIRED ATTRIBUTES\nThe requirements listed below are representative of characteristics and demonstrated capabilities sought to perform this job successfully.\nMust possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.\nMust prioritize in a fast paced, multi-task environment.\nMust have demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions.\nMust work with minimal supervision.\nMust effectively manage time and details.\nMust interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nMust have organizational skills in handling & archiving technical data.\nMust comply with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs.\nTo perform this job successfully, the individual must have 5-7 years construction work-related experience and/or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
