Our expertise spans traditional electrical contracting, security solutions, audio-visual integration, wireless networking, and building management systems.\nJob Summary\nMiller Electric Company has an immediate need for Safety Coordinator's in Richmond, VA.\nCompensation Range: $38.00/hr to $48.00/hr\nIdeal candidate would have prior experience working for an electrical contractor on similar scopes of work. To include mission critical project experience.\nThe Safety Coordinator reports to the Site Safety Manager. Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance. This role will be hands-on and interact with our field personnel and management team daily assisting with safety program execution, field supervision, training, safety administration, case/care management.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nCollaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards, policies, and/or procedures.\nProvides technical expertise to managers and supervisors in establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards.\nPlans and conducts periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections of Miller Electric Company projects.\nConduct hazard analyses of project operations\nAssist in the update and maintenance of the company safety manual\nDevelop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for relevant tasks\nCoordinates with operating activities to provide safety training and ensures safety awareness throughout Miller Electric Company.\nWork with personnel to assure safe placement and job assignment\nAssist in the maintenance of accident record keeping\nProvide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents, incidents, injuries, and/or illnesses.\nFoster a team environment when advising on needed corrections\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nQualifications\nRequiredBCSP certification STS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor or higher)\nOSHA 510 certification\nFirst Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, and AED training \nNFPA 70E and LOTO experience\nUnderstanding of Workers’ Compensation\nStrong technical writing ability\nA strong supporter of collaboration in an effort to gather the best solutions\nAbility to address and train groups of 25-30\nAbility to adapt to a changing work environment\nAbility to act independently with minimal daily direction\nAbility to work closely with all levels of Miller Electric Company\nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
