Other duties may be assigned.\nCollaborate with Safety Committee & Executive Leadership on Company Safety policies/procedures/safety manual\nAssist in the development of policies for specific work activities, tools/equipment\nAssist in the development of training and roll out programs for new policies/procedures (select training materials, review OSHA/Company/industry standards, draft/review training)\n Document injury/incident reporting/investigation/claim management\nDevelops/manage injury/investigation reports (create report forms, complete first report/cause map/incident investigation report/supplemental information documents)\nDocuments provide/submit proposals for training/safety measures/equipment/ processes\nSubmit revisions/provide safety orientations\nOnboard new employees (conduct new hire orientation/training/provide PPE)\n Develop/revise/audit safety hazard assessment documentation completion processes\nReview modify/develop JSA forms \nReview develop/revise/maintain project/site safety plans \nReviews/audits site job hazard analysis programs \nReviews/revises safety hazard assessments plans/documentation per client requirements \n Work with Clients/GC’s/Site managers to correct site issues\nPerform Job walks \nAttend meetings (weekly safety meetings, client incident review, root cause analysis, safety stand-downs, various other work process meetings)\nAssist in staff management\nProvide guidance (for case management, recordability, legal interpretations, industry standards)\nCoaching/counseling\nPromote Company culture/standards (lead from the front)\nBuild/develop positive safety culture (safety bulletins, company newsletter, interdepartmental bulletins, safety stand-down, field presence/interaction)\nOther duties as required\nAssist in management of confined space equipment/plans/training\nAssist in issuance of high voltage/NFPA70E safety equipment (provide training, maintain equipment/consumable parts, track equipment locations and calibrations/certifications)\nAssist in issuance of 4-gas meters and calibration equipment (provide training, maintain equipment/consumable parts, track equipment locations and calibrations/certifications)\nAssist in supply ordering for all company safety equipment \nAssist in problem solving in safety issues companywide \nProvide first-aid/medical transport/triage\nAssist in industrial hygiene programs (lead, asbestos, silica and other hazardous materials as required)\nEnsure compliance with the Safety Program, OSHA, company operating policies and procedures, and provide for safe working environments for employees.\nEscalate critical and/or sensitive issues with recommendation for resolution.\nPerform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the company or as directed by executive leadership.\nQualifications\nPREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nExperience in a professional safety role; proven successful experience as a safety coordinator preferred\nOSHA certifications\nExperience writing Health and Safety Plans (HASP’s) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s)\nDeep understanding of occupational health and safety guidelines/regulations\nIn-depth knowledge of the construction industry, federal, state, and city environmental and safety regulations and practices\nAbility to do public speaking, for safety training purposes\nMust have a valid driver’s license, in good standing\nCOMPUTER SKILLS\nMust demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel).\nREQUIRED ATTRIBUTES\nThe requirements listed below are representative of characteristics and demonstrated capabilities sought to perform this job successfully.\nAbility to draft accurate reports and develop policies applicable to legal/industry standards\nGood knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment\nExcellent organizational and motivational skills\nOutstanding attention to detail and observation ability\nExceptional communication and interpersonal abilities\nMust have the ability to make quick yet sound decisions\nMust build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers, and customers\nMust demonstrate commitment to company values\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nMust have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.\nPhysical Demands\nPhysical Demands\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
