This position would involve overseeing the maintenance of safety programs and procedures to meet performance standards and all appropriate state and federal regulations. Must be bilingual in English/Spanish.\n#SIC\n#LI-onsite\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nActively promotes and strengthens our core values and culture of Mission First, People Always through everyday actions and decisions\nPlans, directs and manages all Safety activities performed on multiple jobsites with minimal direction from Corporate or Branch Office Management.\nConducts Health and Safety Training Programs and maintain all records as needed for the project.\nAnalyzes all processes, operations, and facilities for hazards and changes, or eliminates the hazards.\nAssists with/maintains daily STAs (Safety Task Assignments) with all Company work crews on the project\nTrains and ensures that Company employees maintain compliance with Client's Lockout/Tagout program\nPerforms duties as a scaffolding competent person including: daily inspections of scaffolding and training employees to work on scaffolding\nConducts and documents jobsite/facility/crane inspections and audits and reports findings to Corporate and Branch Office Management\nProvides confined space training as necessary on the project\nAssists with creating and implementing lift plans for a variety of rigging and crane tasks, including critical lift plans.\nProvides operator training for equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, scissor lifts, etc.\nInvestigates the causes of all accidents and injuries, and completes reports as required. Uses Accidents/near misses, etc. as training to help prevent future occurrences.\nProvides jobsite Health and Safety Support/Marketing \nPerforms New Employee Orientations/hiring for the Branch & satellite project locations\nInventories and maintains appropriate quantities of all necessary safety equipment and PPE.\nInteracts/communicates with the Branch safety director to recommend improvements to safety policies and procedures based on periodic site audits. Coordinates with all functional areas within the Branch to assure safety, security, physical and environmental issues and procedures are fully understood and executed.\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n8 years of overall safety experience. \nMinimum of 5 years as a site safey manager. \nOSHA 30 required, OSHA 500 / 510 highly preferred\nExcellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nGood written and verbal communication skills\n Must be bilingual in English/Spanish.\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.\nMust be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.\nStrenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.\nMust be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.\nMust be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.\nWork Environment\nConditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces. Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
