External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\nYour Role\nThe Associate Quality Control Chemist (Laboratory) at MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee, WI conducts chemical suitability tests in accordance with guidelines of our quality management system (QMS) The tasks to be completed daily includeJob duties include:\n Shift hours: 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm.\nPerform routine analytical tests and primary review in compliance with standardized methodology\nOperate analytical equipment and software such as titration(s), spectroscopy, chromatography, etc.\nDocument and process analytical data\nPerform standard stoichiometry and unit conversions\nCompare analytical data against established library(s) and product specification(s)\nMaintain complete and accurate records consistent with quality guidelines\nSafely handle, process, route, and request stock suitability samples\nPerform basic analytical problem solving\nSupport general laboratory functions and routine maintenance\nIdentify opportunities for quality improvement in compliance with Quality Management System\nCommunicate with relevant management and departments to ensure customer focused excellence\nPrioritize responsibilities in alignment with established department goals\nPhysical Attributes:\nMay wear appropriate protective gear, such as respirators and chemical protective clothing, for long periods of time while performing daily tasks\nMay involve occasional lifting and pushing of up to 50 pounds\nWho You Are:\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other life science discipline\nPreferred Qualifications\n2+ years of experience in a quality control or laboratory setting\nAbility to succeed in a team environment\nGood customer service and communications skills, both verbal and written\nBasic understanding of analytical tools and equipment\nKnowledge of safe chemical handling practices\nProficiency with computing chemical calculations and conversions\nAbility to adapt, self-motivate, and think critically\nOrganization and time management skills\nDatabase management software skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel\nBasic understanding of Data Integrity.\nRSREMD\nPay Range for this position: $27.00 - $46.00.\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
