External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\nYour Role:\nAt MilliporeSigma, the Chemical Packaging Operator 1 - 3rd shift will manually and semi-automatically portion chemicals into containers using safety equipment and following protocols. Job duties include:\n 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00pm - 6:30am\nVerify hood and safety equipment function, obtain process order, scan into computer system, verify electronic balance is calibrated. \nVerify match of process order and bulk container lot numbers. \nObtain correct type and quantity of containers for process order. \nOperate powered pallet and drum movers. \nVerify weighed bottles and determine if quantity matches process order requirements. \nPull samples for customers and/or quality control. \nComplete paperwork including tray tags, process orders, and computer PKRV scan. \nDocument process order for specific required data, inclusive of weighing accountability to assure the accuracy of the weighed material using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). \nFill out data for tray tags and affix to each tray or case of filled bottles. \nComplete production logs. \nMaintain equipment, tools, and facilities in safe, clean environment. \nAssemble, disassemble semiautomatic powder or liquid dispensing equipment, and replace worn or disposable parts as necessary. \nClean semi-automatic dispensing equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and chemical safety protocols. \nClean tools and utensils with appropriate material in hood according to chemical safety protocols. \nClean hood/workstation according to method and protocol for specific chemical weighed. \nAssemble, test, maintain, and use appropriate safety equipment. \nClean and maintain reusable safety equipment for next use. \nFacilitate packaging operations by providing support for weighers and moving material within the department. \nProcures bulk and package components for weighers. \nMaintain, clean, and safe work areas and equipment following 5S standards. \nTake necessary steps to ensure we provide our customers with the highest quality product possible. \nImmediately report any situation that could compromise safety or quality \nPhysical Attributes:\nWork near moving mechanical parts. \nWear Personal Protective Equipment, “PPE”, including but not limited to hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes \nWork in wet, humid, or abnormally hot or cold environments. \nLift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs \nWho You Are:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED \nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to read instructions and understand oral and written instructions. \n6 + months of experience weighing hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals using precision equipment into specific containers\nExperience of safety equipment and semi-automated equipment\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills\nRSREMD\nPay Range for this position: $20.00-$32.00/hourly\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
