That's why we are always looking for curious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us.\nYour Role\nJob Title: Utility Operator (Chemical Industry)\nDepartment: Operations / Engineering\nReports To: Shift/Unit Supervisor - Utilities\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperate and monitor plant utility systems (cooling towers, compressed air, DI water/wastewater, HVAC, Chillers, thermic oil heaters, N2 generator, as applicable) per SOPs.\nRespond to alarms, record data in logbooks/SCADA, and take corrective actions to maintain safe, stable operations.\nExecute start-up, normal running, and shutdown sequences with LOTO compliance.\nPerform preventive maintenance and coordinate with Maintenance for specialized/breakdown tasks.\nPromote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental performance.\nMaintain a clean, safe work environment (6S).\nEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISO 9001/14001/45001, local regulations).\nPrepare shift handovers, incident reports, and participate in investigations as required.\nSupport commissioning/qualification for new or modified utilities systems.\nWho You Are\nYou are a Diploma holder in Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Instrumentation, Mechanical, or equivalent (5+ years’ experience in a chemical/processing plant).\nYou have hands-on experience with utility systems in a medium-to-large plant.\nYou can read P&IDs, process diagrams, instrument drawings, and have basic control system knowledge (SCADA/DCS/PLC basics).\nYou understand energy management, water treatment, effluent handling, and waste minimization concepts.\nYou are familiar with LOTO, safety regulations, and basic process safety practices.\nYou communicate effectively, work well in teams, and can operate across shifts.\nPerform preventive maintenance\nBasic Qualifications\nDiploma in Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Instrumentation, Mechanical, or equivalent.\n5+ years’ experience in a chemical/processing environment.\nProficiency with SOPs, logbooks, and basic data recording.\nFamiliarity with safety systems and regulatory requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPSSR/HAZOP training or related certification.\nExperience with CMMS, TPM, RCA, energy projects.\nKnowledge of energy, water, and waste optimization initiatives.\nExposure to automation and data logging/reporting tools.\nWhat we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
