External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\nYour Role:\nEMD Electronics is seeking an Operations Technician to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to grow within a dynamic, scaling organization. The Operations Technician is responsible for safely and effectively operating manufacturing equipment and completing plant routines as required by site-specific processes and policies. Hours are 5PM-5AM on a rotating schedule.\nMaintain safe working conditions and follow all safety policies and procedures, complete required safety documentation and mandatory trainings. \nOperate manufacturing, packaging, and testing equipment per Quality Systems Manual procedures safely and efficiently; collect in-process and finished product samples. \nPerform manufacturing operations across multiple facility systems; troubleshoot minor equipment issues and submit maintenance work orders. \nMonitor production processes and report deviations promptly to the lead or manager; utilize automated programs for consistent and reliable production. \nInspect work areas for safety hazards and mechanical issues; keep spaces clean, organized, and well-supplied. \nCollaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure continuous production; assist in training and onboarding new employees. \nSupport the creation and revision of SOPs; contribute to continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality, and efficiency. \nManage in-process raw materials and consumables; assist with shipping and receiving as directed. \nPhysical Attributes:\nLift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. \nBend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, or reach overhead. \nWear required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, masks, and steel-toed shoes. \nOn your feet for 80 - 90% of your 12-hour shift.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment. \nBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. \nExperience in the semiconductor industry. \nForklift operation experience. \nExperience with automated systems. \nPay Range for this position: $24-$37 per hour.\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
