External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.\nYour Role:\nEMD Electronics is seeking a Senior Scientist in Analytical Development with expertise in NMR spectroscopy.\nIn this role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nMethod development for the analysis of organometallic compounds and their impurities by NMR and support method transfer to quality control.\nMaintain the R&D dedicated 500 Mhz NMR and its subsidiary components.\nAnalysis of samples and associated data to support R&D timelines.\nAct as a technical expert supporting EMD R&D staff with advanced NMR analyses.\nAct as the subject matter expert on NMR for EMD customer facing meetings when requested.\nGenerate SOPs and technical documents/reports as necessary.\nMaintain an R&D notebook in accordance with ISO9001 standards.\nSupport site NMR improvement initiatives and cross site harmonization.\nBe a technical resource for supporting quality control units associated with EMD product lines.\nPerform other (non-NMR) analytical method development and testing as required by the business.\nWho You Are\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMasters’ Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or other life science discipline and 3+ years’ experience with hands-on experience with NMR.\nOR\nPh.D. in Chemistry or Materials Science Materials Science or other life science discipline.\nAND\n1+ years’ experience in routine maintenance of NMR equipment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience interpreting NMR spectra of organometallic compounds.\nExperience with Topspin and MNova software.\nExperience with multivariate analysis and statistics.\n2+ years’ experience performing routine maintenance of NMR equipment.\nExperience with NMR of transition metal nuclei.\nExperience with NMR experiments (2D, Cryogenic, Nonstandard Nuclei).\nExperience with Topspin and MNova software.\nFamiliarity with advanced NMR experiments (2D, Cryogenic, Nonstandard Nuclei).\nPay Range for this position: $82,900 - $153,800\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
