The purpose of this position is to perform various warehousing duties as well as to ensure finished goods flow through the Distribution Center in a safe, quality conscious manner. In this role you will perform multiple functions including receiving, locating, picking and packing all materials while ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.\nYou will be responsible for meeting the daily and monthly core performance metrics set for the warehouse by:\nAccurately receiving finished goods and supplies under time constraints\nSafely and accurately locating material to proper storage area\nSafely, accurately, and efficiently picking customer orders and safely, accurately, and securely packing customer orders\nPerforming cycle counts, location and product audits\nParticipating in problem resolution and researching discrepancy issues as well as actively participating in Process Improvement initiatives\nConsistently complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures and engaging in good housekeeping habits\nForklift operation\nParticipating in Spill and Emergency Response Teams\nHours of operation: Monday thru Friday; 9:30am to 6:00pm. Weekend work may be necessary to meet the needs of the business.\nPhysical Attributes:\nWearing appropriate protective gear e.g. glasses/goggles, gloves, safety shoes and other personal protection equipment “PPE” (e.g. chemical resistant suits and SCBA for spill team response)\nWorking in an area that may occasionally be wet, humid, or abnormally hot or cold with temperatures ranging from 2 degrees C to 40 degrees C\nSitting, standing, walking, reaching above the shoulder, stooping, kneeling, twisting, crouching or crawling safely\nLifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds unassisted or as a team lift. Moving more than 60 pounds with assistance and team lift.\nUtilizing close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus\nWho You Are:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n2+ years of work experience in a warehouse environment\nPreferred Qualifications:\nWorking knowledge of warehouse flow, location logic, WHMIS, transportation of dangerous goods, IATA Regulations, general safety practices, basic use of fire extinguishers, material handling equipment, proper lifting techniques, forklift operation, and spill team response\nAbility to read and understand oral and written instructions\nBasic math skills for minor addition, subtraction, and multiplication\nPC keyboarding skills and data entry using computers and RF scanning devices\nExperience in the safe, smooth operation of a wide range of material handling equipment\nAbility to handle multiple tasks \nThis is an existing vacancy.\nPay Rate for this position is $23.25/hour.\nOur ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role and are derived from relevant industry market data within Canada.
