We’ve been in business for over 50 years, and every day, we’re looking for new and more innovative ways to provide better service to our customers and grow our business.\nSummary\nThe Facility Supervisor leads and coordinates daily activities on assigned shifts to ensure decommissioning, material recovery, production, and shipment work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures. This position assigns and verifies work, trains and supports facility technicians, and maintains accountability for shift performance, equipment, tools, housekeeping, and work quality. The Facility Supervisor remains actively involved in transformer and power distribution unit decommissioning, oil removal, material separation, equipment operation, and loading activities. Success in this position requires visible safety leadership, sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to respond to changing operational needs.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlan, assign, communicate, and monitor shift work to ensure required production, decommissioning, material recovery, housekeeping, and shipment activities are completed safely and on schedule.\nProvide day-to-day direction to assigned personnel and take ownership of shift performance, work quality, productivity, and the completion of expected tasks.\nCommunicate shift priorities, safety expectations, production goals, and changes in work assignments to employees.\nTrain, coach, and assist facility technicians in safe work practices, standard operating procedures, equipment use, material identification, and efficient task execution.\nMonitor employee work and provide timely instruction or correction when work does not meet safety, quality, productivity, or operating expectations.\nEnsure employees comply with company safety, environmental, quality, and operational policies and procedures.\nEnforce requirements related to personal protective equipment, respirator use, oil and chemical handling, equipment operation, housekeeping, and hazard reporting.\nConduct or support pre-shift planning, job hazard reviews, equipment inspections, and other required safety or operational activities.\nStop or escalate work when conditions are unsafe, required safeguards are unavailable, or the work is outside established procedures or employee qualifications.\nPromptly communicate safety, staffing, equipment, quality, environmental, or production concerns to the Plant Operations Manager.\nDisassemble decommissioned transformers, power distribution units, and related electrical equipment using appropriate hand, power, and pneumatic tools.\nPump, transfer, contain, label, and stage oil and other liquids in accordance with company procedures, spill-prevention practices, and environmental requirements.\nEnsure oils, solvents, chemicals, and other liquid materials are properly handled, stored, and prepared for reuse or disposal.\nMinimum Requirements\nEducation/Certifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nValid driver’s license preferred.\nAbility to obtain and maintain required facility and equipment qualifications after hire, including forklift, overhead crane, hoist, baler, respirator, or other site-specific certifications.\nExperience\nAt least one year of supervisory, lead, or shift-coordination experience in an industrial, recycling, manufacturing, warehouse, maintenance, or similar hands-on work environment.\nExperience using hand, power, or pneumatic tools and working around industrial equipment is preferred.\nExperience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, balers, or similar material-handling equipment is preferred.\nExperience with transformers, electrical equipment, metal recycling, oil handling, material recovery, or field decommissioning is preferred.\nExperience training employees, assigning work, and monitoring the completion and quality of assigned tasks is preferred.\n Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nWorking knowledge of industrial safety practices, hazard recognition, spill prevention, personal protective equipment, and safe material-handling practices.\nBasic understanding of energy-control and electrical-hazard awareness when working around decommissioned electrical equipment.\nKnowledge of safe practices for handling, transferring, containing, labeling, and staging oil, solvents, chemicals, and other liquid materials.\nAbility to lead by example and consistently reinforce company safety, environmental, quality, and operating requirements.\nAbility to establish clear expectations, assign work effectively, and hold employees accountable in a respectful and professional manner.\nDemonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability in a fast-moving, physically demanding operation.\nAbility to perform heavy work, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and more than 50 pounds of force frequently, with or without
