You will build and scale highly available payment services, using AI coding agents and tooling as part of your daily workflow while keeping the quality, security and reliability that payments demand.\nResponsibilities\nDesigning and implementing complex workflows, APIs, and UI backends for payment platforms;\nPerforming TDD using various tools like JUnit;\nTaking part in scaling highly available payment services (99.99%+ uptime);\nUsing AI coding assistants and agents (e.g. Claude Code, Kiro, GitHub Copilot) for implementation, refactoring, test generation, code review and legacy code exploration, and owning the quality of everything they produce;\nContributing to the team's shared AI tooling, such as agent skills, project instructions (e.g. CLAUDE.md), prompt templates and MCP server configurations, so AI-assisted work is consistent and repeatable;\nApplying secure and responsible AI practices in a PCI DSS environment, so that no cardholder data, secrets or other sensitive information reaches AI tools.\nRequirements\n9-10+ years using core Java and/or J2EE, Spring;\nKnowledge in ORM solutions, e.g. Hibernate;\nDatabase experience with open-source databases like MySQL and/or PostgreSQL;\nExperience in JavaScript and decent front-end skills;\nComfortable with TDD/BDD practices, JUnit, etc.;\nHands-on, day-to-day experience with AI coding assistants or agentic tools (e.g. Claude Code, Kiro, Cursor, GitHub Copilot), including writing effective prompts and specs and critically reviewing AI-generated code;\nPractical understanding of how AI agents connect to engineering tools through MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, e.g. GitHub, Jira, Confluence, databases, and of the related risks such as prompt injection and over-permissioned access.\nConsidered as an Advantage\nExperience in building APIs using latest standards;\nExperience with SPA front-end apps;\nExperience with bigger codebases and refactoring, including AI-assisted modernization of legacy code;\nCreating agent skills, custom instructions or reusable workflows for AI coding tools;\nBuilding MCP servers or tool integrations in Java (e.g. MCP Java SDK, Spring AI);\nIntegrating LLMs into Java services (e.g. Spring AI, LangChain4j, Amazon Bedrock, Claude API), including RAG, tool calling and guardrails;\nOpenSSL, mod_security, general security knowledge;\nLinux and devops skills with AWS, Ansible, Terraform, etc.;\nPrevious experience in the payment industry.\nBenefits\nFast-growing payment company;\nExcellent working conditions, casual atmosphere, and state-of-the-art hardware;\nModern, challenging, constantly growing business;\nProfessional development - books, trainings, certifications, etc.;\nTeam buildings and fun activities;\n25 days paid holiday, 1 day for every 2 years with us;\nFully distributed and remote.\nIf you are interested, please apply with your CV in English only.
