to Make an Impact?\nOn behalf of a client in the engineering sector, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to serve as a technical leader on water, wastewater, stormwater and drainage, and roadway infrastructure projects.\nThis is a hands-on design role for an experienced professional engineer who wants to stay close to the technical work - leading the engineering behind the projects, setting the design approach, solving complex technical problems, and making sure the final product is sound, buildable, and built to last - rather than focusing on program and project management.\nThe Work You Can Do:\nAs a senior civil engineer, you'll be a go-to technical resource within a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and project managers, guiding municipal infrastructure projects from concept through construction.\nYour Work May Include:\nLeading the design and analysis of water distribution, sanitary sewer, stormwater, drainage, and roadway infrastructure\nPerforming and overseeing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling\nPreparing, reviewing, and sealing engineering calculations, plans, specifications, technical reports, and construction cost estimates\nDeveloping and directing the development of construction plans and design documents in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software\nServing as the technical authority on quality-control reviews of calculations, plans, and deliverables\nEvaluating existing plans, survey data, utility information, and record drawings to inform design decisions\nLeading the technical development of local, state, and federal permit applications and coordinating with regulatory agencies\nConducting site visits and field investigations to assess existing conditions\nProviding engineering support during construction, including submittal reviews, RFI responses, site observations, and resolution of field issues\nProviding technical input on project scopes, schedules, and fee estimates\nMentoring and developing engineer interns, junior engineers, and designers\nThe Teammate Our Client Is Looking For:Is a true technical expert who enjoys the design work itself\nHas a track record of designing water, sewer, drainage, and roadway projects that have been built\nSets high standards for technical quality and holds the team to them\nSolves complex problems with sound judgment and practical solutions\nEnjoys teaching and sharing expertise with less experienced engineers\nCommunicates technical issues clearly to clients, agencies, contractors, and team members\nCan balance multiple projects and priorities without losing sight of deadlines or details\nIs based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana or willing to relocate\nWhat You'll Bring to Their Team:\nA bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited program\nAn active Professional Engineer (PE) license, with Louisiana registration or the ability to obtain it through comity\n8 or more years of civil engineering design experience\nDemonstrated experience designing water, wastewater, stormwater/drainage, and roadway projects for municipal or public clients\nAdvanced proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D\nExperience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software\nThorough knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal design standards and regulatory requirements\nStrong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills\nA valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed\nExperience in water, sewer, and drainage design is strongly
