NumPy), with an understanding of how to work with datasets containing millions of rows without compromising performance.\n\nSQL: JOINs, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, and query optimization.\n\nExperience integrating with external data sources, including REST APIs, SFTP, and parsing various file formats (CSV, XLSX, JSON, XML, and PDF bank statements).\n\nUnderstanding of data quality principles, including validation, deduplication, handling missing values and anomalies, and ensuring data completeness.\n\nExperience with Git and writing maintainable code, including project structure, logging, and error handling.\n\nUnderstanding of the payments domain, including transaction lifecycle, fees, exchange rates, settlement, holds/reserves, and chargebacks.\n\nExperience in financial environments.\n\nAbility to independently manage tasks from requirements gathering through implementation and ongoing support, taking ownership of outcomes.\n\nEnglish: Intermediate.\nWhat you’ll do:\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain transaction reconciliation pipelines across providers, bank statements, processing logs, and internal systems.\n\nAutomate data collection from SFTP and provider admin panels, consolidating diverse data formats into a unified schema.\n\nImplement matching logic (1:1, 1:N, N:M), including tolerances for fees and FX differences.\n\nBuild data quality checks and alerting mechanisms to detect discrepancies.\n\nInvestigate discrepancies through resolution, identify root causes, fix issues at the source or logic level, and implement preventive measures.\n\nPrepare final operational and financial reports, including reports for month-end close.\n\nAlign reconciliation rules with Finance, BizDev (Account Management), Risk & Compliance, and Support teams, ensuring SLA compliance.\n\nDocument pipelines, data schemas, and business rules.\n\nIdentify and implement process improvements, conduct code reviews, and support less experienced colleagues.\nIt would be great if you also have:\n\nExperience with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, or Tableau.\n\nExperience with chargebacks,
