You will be based in Austin, TX, and will work alongside a collaborative global team to design, build, and optimize infrastructure that enables Emerson’s digital transformation.\nIN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:\nBuild, optimize, and manage cloud-native systems such as Kubernetes clusters and cloud resources\nDocument, maintain, improve, and validate work products\nParticipate in agile development process as part of a scrum team including planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement\nCoordinate and participate in cyber-security reviews\nCoordinate and participate in architecture reviews\nWork with global team to execute project initiatives\nWHO YOU ARE: You consistently build and deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations. You foster collaboration to achieve common goals while relating comfortably across various levels, functions, cultures, and geography.\nFOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any STEM-related degree\n5+ years of experience with large-scale infrastructure systems in a production environment\nProficiency in modern programming and scripting languages such as Go, Python, Bash, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or others.\nProficiency with Kubernetes (cluster lifecycle, networking, upgrades) and containerization technologies like Docker.\nExperience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.\nExperience working within an Agile development framework.\nAuthorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the futureIndividuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire. \n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:\nAdvanced training in cloud services and configuration management (Azure, AWS, GCP). \nStrong understanding of network architecture and security protocols. \nExperience optimizing performance and scalability in infrastructure systems.\nKnowledgeable in service discovery and load-balancing technologies.\nExperience with GitOps tools, such as Argo CD or Flux. \nProficiency in DevSecOps CI/CD automation environments. \nExpertise in backup and disaster recovery strategies within a cloud setting. \nExperience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).\nOur Culture & Commitment to You\nWe recognize that for our organization to support a diverse workforce, we must focus on employee well-being.
