We are seeking a CNC Set-Up Operator to join our 2nd shift team in Sandusky, where you will play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations. In this position, you’ll set up and operate CNC and conventional equipment to produce high-quality components while ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to production standards in a fast-paced environment.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nPrecision machine set-up and operating responsibilities.\nManufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet demand.\nSets up and operate CNC and other related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.\nFollows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling tapping, turning, milling and stamping to fabricate, form or shape manufactured parts, tools or parts assembly from raw materials.\nSelects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.\nResolves issues related to the organizations production, machinery, and processing. \nTests and calibrates components and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.\nReports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.\nObserve established safe working, housekeeping procedures and promptly correct and / or notify supervisor of any hazardous situations.\nAll supplemental duties, responsibilities, or non-essential requirements as assigned.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nHigh school diploma/GED or 2 years of experience required.\nBetween 1 - 3 years CNC set up experience or demonstrated proficiency. \nBlueprint Reading.\nAbility to produce a quality part at a productive rate.\nWork in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nAbility to utilize mechanical/manufacturing standards of practice for both manufacturing and assembly of components to obtain a defect-free part for shipment to customers.\nOur Culture & Commitment to You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
