This role ensures products are assembled and tested in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements while supporting operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nAssemble Control Valves, actuators, and accessories in accordance with engineering drawings, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards.\nInterpret and follow technical drawings, manuals, work instructions, and history cards to perform assembly activities accurately and independently.\nPerform mechanical, pneumatic, hydrostatic, and functional testing of valves and actuators in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.\nInstall and verify nameplates, tags, and product identification markings to ensure traceability requirements are met.\nComplete and maintain accurate production documentation, including Valve Test Records, Assembly Checklists, and Inspection Reports.\nSupport Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities during customer and internal inspections.\nPerform basic welding and tack welding activities on brackets, support plates, tags, and accessories as required.\nConduct visual inspection of welds and report defects or non-conformities for corrective action.\nEnsure work areas are maintained in accordance with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.\nMaintain tools, fixtures, welding equipment, and machinery in a safe and operational condition.\nSupport preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance teams when required.\nFollow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nParticipate in toolbox talks, safety observations, risk assessments, and safety audits.\nIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve quality, productivity, and process efficiency.\nCollaborate with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, and Production teams to resolve operational issues.\nProvide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians and apprentices.\nSupport special testing and customized assembly requirements for non-standard valve configurations.\nPerform fugitive emission testing to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards.\nOperate hydrostatic testing equipment and associated testing systems as required.\nSupport operational requirements across multiple product lines and assembly areas.\nWho You Are\nYou demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.\nYou maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence.\nYou work effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to team success.\nYou communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.\nYou proactively identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nYou take ownership of assigned responsibilities and consistently deliver high-quality work.\nFor This Role, You Will Need\nDiploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum 3 years of hands-on experience in valve assembly and testing.\nStrong understanding of valve assembly, testing, and troubleshooting processes.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.\nFluency in English, both written and spoken.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nKnowledge of manufacturing safety requirements and quality procedures.\nExperience operating valve testing systems and equipment.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart\nExperience within control valve manufacturing environments.\nFamiliarity with ValveLink software for diagnostics and calibration.\nExperience with hydrostatic and functional testing equipment.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S methodologies.\nWelding experience and understanding of basic weld inspection practices.\nExperience supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities.\nOur Culture & Commitment to You!\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
