Based in our Brantford, ON location, as an integral part of the Operations team the Cylinder Assembler will support our operation in a collaborative manufacturing environment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team while assembling and testing cylinder products.\nAS A CYLINDER ASSEMBLER, YOU WILL:\n Assemble hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.\nRead and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, bills of material, and production documentation.\nOperate power tools, drills, impact guns and manual hand tools. Use assembly jigs and any other tools and equipment as required.\nPerform product testing and inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.\nPrepare and apply identification labels, nameplates, and related product documentation.\nMaintain production records and complete required paperwork accurately. \nIdentify quality concerns and communicate issues to the appropriate personnel. \nSafely handle, lift, move, position, and assemble large, awkward, and heavy cylinder components using proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment when required.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards. \nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and support departmental objectives. \nFollow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. \nPerform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor.\nThe successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, work effectively in a team environment, and apply active listening, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to support operational goals.\nWHO YOU ARE: You are safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and committed to quality. You work well in a team environment, follow instructions with attention to detail, and adapt to changing production needs.\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.\nMechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to safely use assembly tools, power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.\nEffective verbal communication and listening skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production requirements.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nAbility to safely handle, lift, and move cylinder components and materials as required.\nPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nMust pass a skill assessment.\nExperience working within a manufacturing environment is an asset.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety and quality.\nOur Culture & Commitment to You\nOur compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process.
