You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams spanning hardware, firmware, embedded software, and project management to deliver high-quality solutions that support Emerson’s innovation goals.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nSet up, maintain, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and integration environments for industrial PC, PLC, and embedded products.\nDesign, implement, and maintain automated system, integration, regression, stability, performance, security, interface, and hardware-in-the-loop tests.\nDevelop scripts, test utilities, dashboards, and documentation to make automated testing transparent, reliable, and easy to use.\nAnalyze pipeline and test failures, support root-cause analysis, and work with development teams to improve product quality, test coverage, and test stability.\nContribute to the development of microcontroller software and/or Linux low-level software and drivers, depending on project requirements.\nWork closely with hardware, firmware, embedded software, and project management teams to define effective test strategies and resolve integration challenges.\nPromote continuous improvement practices that enhance development efficiency, product reliability, and customer value.\nWho You Are:\nYou build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. You apply a broad perspective to solve complex technical problems and identify effective, sustainable solutions.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nA degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.\nExperience with CI/CD practices, test automation, automated test frameworks, and modern development tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Robot Framework, Docker, Git, or similar technologies.\nStrong scripting and programming skills, preferably in Python, C/C++, Bash, or related languages.\nSolid Linux knowledge and experience working in Linux-based development environments.\nUnderstanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, hardware interfaces, and x86- or ARM-based platforms.\nAn analytical, hands-on approach to problem-solving and a willingness to embrace agile, DevOps, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nProfessional proficiency in English.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience with embedded Linux, Linux driver development, kernel configuration, or low-level software development.\nKnowledge of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and test infrastructure design.\nFamiliarity with industrial automation, industrial PCs, PLCs, or related embedded hardware platforms.\nExperience implementing security, performance, or reliability testing in embedded environments.\nGerman language skills.\nExperience building test reporting dashboards, quality metrics, and scalable automation frameworks.\nOur Culture & Commitment to You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
