Through your contributions to testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives, you will help deliver innovative and customer-focused solutions that support Emerson's commitment to excellence.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nParticipate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and program planning events.\n\nPartner with software developers, architects, product owners, program managers, and testing teams to review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.\n\nValidate software features, enhancements, defect fixes, builds, and release candidates to help ensure readiness for downstream testing and customer deployment.\n\nDesign, develop, and execute manual test cases covering functional, integration, regression, exploratory, compatibility, and security testing.\n\nInvestigate, document, and verify software issues while collaborating with development teams to support timely resolution.\n\nDevelop and execute security-focused test scenarios that support secure software development practices.\n\nConfigure, maintain, and support validation environments, including hardware, networking, laboratory infrastructure, and customer-like deployment environments.\n\nLeverage modern testing technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve testing efficiency, product quality, and team productivity.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance software quality, testing effectiveness, and delivery outcomes.\n\nSupport a culture of collaboration, innovation, integrity, and inclusion across project teams.\n\nWho You Are:\nYou have a strong bottom-line orientation. You provide timely and helpful information to others across the organization.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nBachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.\nMinimum of 5 years' experience supporting software testing activities, including test case development, execution, defect validation, and documentation of test results.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation skills.\n\nFamiliarity with Windows operating systems, networking concepts, and hardware or software deployment activities.\n\nExperience using software lifecycle management, collaboration, or work management tools such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar platforms.\n\nUnderstanding of Agile principles, Scrum practices, and software development lifecycle processes.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.\n\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience working with industrial automation systems, process control technologies, asset reliability solutions, or related industries.\n\nExperience supporting customer deployment environments, hardware configuration, networking activities, laboratory infrastructure, or field device setup.\n\nFamiliarity with industrial communication protocols such as HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Profibus, Profinet, or OPC.\n\nUnderstanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat mitigation practices, security validation methodologies, or secure software development principles.\n\nExperience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.\n\nExperience with scripting, test automation, or tools such as PowerShell, Python, Ranorex, or comparable technologies.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-enabled engineering and productivity tools that support software quality and testing activities.\n\nProfessional certifications related to software testing, quality assurance, Agile methodologies, or project delivery frameworks.\n\nOur Culture and Commitment To You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
