Through your work you will have opportunities to continue to expand your digital design skills by learning from experienced technical leaders and participating in initiatives to grow the craft of digital design.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nCollaborate with multi-disciplinary hardware engineering teams to develop test and measurement products.\nDevelop register maps and generate documentation to ensure clear design intent to the broader project team.\nOwn the full FPGA design, including logic implementation, data movement and analysis, testbenches, compilation, and timing analysis.\nOwn all aspects of digital board level design, including schematic entry, layout guidelines, signal integrity simulations, and prototype validation.\nDevelop and execute plans for prototype hardware bring-up and board level validation.\nBe the voice of digital design in project meetings by estimating level of effort for design tasks, providing input on status of work, and proactively raising technical concerns.\nWho You Are:\nYou partner with others to get work done. You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nMinimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or a related discipline.\nProficiency designing with digital logic and synchronous elements, including flip-flops, timing diagrams, and state machines \nWorking knowledge of:Programmable logic design with VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog\nComputer architectures and interfaces\nFundamental knowledge of programming languages (e.g. python, C, LabVIEW)\nFundamental knowledge of analog circuit design\n\nLocated within a commutable distance to the NI Corporate headquarters in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate. \nLegal authorization to work in the United States.
