You will play a key role in driving efficient international logistics processes, managing trade compliance programs, optimizing performance, and supporting strategic initiatives across Mexico.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nLead and oversee import and export operations across multiple customs locations, ensuring compliance with applicable customs regulations and Emerson policies.\nMonitor cargo release timelines and support on-time delivery objectives through effective coordination with customs brokers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.\nDrive process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce operational complexity, and improve overall service performance.\nDevelop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.\nEnsure compliance with Mexican Official Standards (NOMs), certifications, non-tariff regulations, and other applicable trade requirements.\nManage certification processes, including coordination with certification bodies, documentation control, renewals, validity tracking, and sample management.\nOversee and resolve customs holds, regulatory exceptions, and compliance-related issues affecting imports and exports.\nCoordinate customs, transportation, and international logistics activities for air, ocean, and ground shipments.\nManage import and export costs, including customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and related operational expenses.\nPrepare, review, and coordinate export documentation to support compliant international shipments.\nMonitor temporary export operations and ensure timely returns or customs closure requirements.\nProvide guidance and priority instructions to customs brokers and logistics providers based on business needs and shipment criticality.\nAnalyze trade and logistics processes, identify root causes of operational challenges, and recommend sustainable improvements.\nSupport trade compliance activities across multiple regions, including serving as a backup resource for operations in other countries when needed.\nLead operational transitions, vendor management initiatives, and customs broker implementations as required.\nCollaborate effectively with procurement, operations, manufacturing sites, logistics providers, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth execution of international trade activities.\nPrepare reports, presentations, and business analyses that support data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.\nWho You Are:\nYou consistently build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. You create an environment of accountability, continuous improvement, and open communication, enabling teams to perform at their best while delivering outcomes that support organizational success.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nDemonstrated commitment, accountability, and a proactive attitude toward achieving business objectives while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement\n\nAt least 5 years of proven experience in similar positions related to Engineering industry\nExperience leading or coordinating import and export operations within a complex international trade environment.\nKnowledge of customs regulations, international logistics processes, trade compliance requirements, and import/export documentation.\nExperience managing customs brokers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, or similar external partners.\nAbility to interpret and apply regulatory requirements, including standards, certifications, and non-tariff regulations.\nExperience developing and monitoring KPIs, performance metrics, and operational improvement plans.\nStrong communication English skills (to be evaluated)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities simultaneously.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.\nExperience managing compliance-related documentation, audits, certifications, and regulatory records.\nAbility to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise systems used for logistics, trade compliance, or supply chain operations.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nBachelor's degree in International Trade, Foreign Trade, International Business, Customs Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.\n\nExperience leading teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives within import/export and logistics\n\nExperience supporting import and export operations across Mexico.\nKnowledge of Mexican customs regulations, NOM certification processes, and trade compliance programs.\nOur Culture and Commitment To You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
