Working across distribution centers, manufacturing sites, and key business functions, you will leverage data, systems, and cross-functional partnerships to enhance inventory positioning, strengthen planning accuracy, and support operational excellence.\nBased at Emerson’s global headquarters in Elyria, Ohio, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, data-driven environment focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes through innovation, integrity, and teamwork.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nDevelop and maintain the Americas inventory plan, inventory projections, targets, and Supply Chain Alignment Tool (SCAT) analysis.\nAnalyze inventory and service performance across distribution centers to identify trends, risks, opportunities, inventory imbalances, and excess inventory while recommending actions to improve inventory positioning.\nDevelop and maintain service-level reporting and analysis, including RDSL, stockouts, cancellations, backlog, and other key customer service performance indicators.\nCreate and maintain intercompany transfer forecasts for global branches, partnering with regional teams to understand requirements and proactively identify supply risks.\nAnalyze significant DRP and inventory changes, identify key drivers, and collaborate with Distribution Center Replenishment Managers, Sales Planning, and manufacturing teams to support alignment between demand and supply plans.\nPartner across distribution centers and business functions to identify inventory optimization opportunities, coordinate supply issue resolution, and support inventory readiness for promotions and changing demand patterns.\nDevelop and maintain inventory, service, and supply reporting for S&OP, POR, month-end reviews, and other business planning activities while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the Americas.\nWho You Are:\nYou consistently make sense of complex information and use data to identify meaningful insights, risks, and opportunities. You seek to understand underlying challenges, evaluate options thoughtfully, and make sound recommendations that support both customer service and operational performance.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Analytics, or a related field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and reconcile large amounts of data.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills.\nUnderstanding of inventory planning, replenishment, demand planning, or related supply chain processes.\nAbility to identify trends and discrepancies, investigate root causes, and develop clear recommendations.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and recurring planning deadlines.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively across distribution, manufacturing, Sales Planning, Sourcing, Product Management, and other functions.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience in inventory planning, replenishment, demand planning, supply planning, or a related supply chain function.\nExperience working with distribution center inventory, service level analysis, and DRP or replenishment systems.\nExperience with forecasting or intercompany supply planning.\nFunctional knowledge of ERP and business intelligence systems; Domo and JD Edwards experience preferred.\nExperience developing inventory and service reporting, dashboards, and business analysis.\nExperience supporting S&OP or other integrated planning processes.\nOur Culture and Commitment To You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
