Emerson’s five decades of power and water expertise embedded within the Ovation™ distributed control system (DCS) forms a reliable and innovative platform that evolves with rapidly changing technology to help improve plant reliability.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nPrepare DCS proposals for new generation power projects in response to customer requests.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to developing proposal engineers.\nPerform review of customer specifications and conform compliance.\nDefine proposal strategies that align with customer specifications, based on organizational goals, market insight, and expert process and product knowledge. \nCollaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost-effective solutions. \nEngage directly with customers to communicate Emerson’s capabilities and understand application needs. \nDevelop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning. \nSupport presentations, interviews, and negotiations utilizing a thorough understanding of customer applications and Emerson capabilities and products.\nPartner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages.\nWho You Are:\nYou understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer relationships, you scan the environment for new technical skills, knowledge, or capabilities that can benefit business and personal performance, and you persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nBS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum 7 years of relevant experience.\nExperience with controls and automation (DCS/PLC/SCADA) systems.\nAbility to travel up to 5% of the time.\nLegal authorization to work in the United States.
