Working closely with Logistics, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, Quality, and Production teams, you will help maintain efficient inventory processes, coordinate subcontracting activities, investigate discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on individual contributor role reporting to the Logistics Manager, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on business performance through analytical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. The role is aligned with key success factors including material flow, inventory accuracy, stock optimization, inventory parameter management, and cross-functional collaboration.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nCoordinate material flow with external subcontractors performing assembly activities for Emerson products.\nPrepare shipping documentation and ensure timely and accurate shipment of materials to subcontractors.\nTrack materials and components sent to suppliers and record finished goods upon receipt.\nBuild and maintain effective working relationships with subcontractors, ensuring timely follow-up on open actions and material availability.\nServe as the site Inventory Champion, promoting inventory accuracy and stock optimization.\nPerform and coordinate daily cycle count activities and physical inventory verification processes.\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.\nMaintain accurate inventory records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded in the ERP system.\nAnalyze inventory trends, stock levels, safety stock settings, and replenishment parameters to support optimal inventory performance.\nIdentify slow-moving, excess, and potentially obsolete inventory and recommend improvement actions.\nSupport the gradual management of obsolete inventory through BOM analysis and evaluation of inventory disposition options.\nHandle routine inventory and quality-related transactions, including returns, stock movements, and non-conforming materials.\nInvestigate quality-related inventory issues and prepare all required supporting documentation.\nWork extensively with Excel and data analysis tools to monitor inventory performance and resolve operational issues.\nCollaborate closely with Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, Production, and Quality teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.\nReview technical drawings when required to support inventory, material identification, and operational activities.\nSupport process improvements that increase inventory accuracy, material availability, and operational efficiency.\nWho You Are\nYou consistently identify and pursue the most important opportunities and priorities. You readily adapt your approach in response to changing circumstances and seek opportunities to continuously improve processes, systems, and business results.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nExperience in logistics, supply chain, inventory management, production planning, warehouse operations, or a related field; or relevant academic training combined with strong analytical capability.\nAbility to independently manage day-to-day interactions with suppliers and subcontractors.\nExperience working with inventory processes, stock control activities, cycle counting, or inventory reconciliation.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze data and identify trends.\nExperience using ERP systems for inventory transactions, stock management, planning parameters, or operational processes.\nAbility to accurately manage documentation and maintain data integrity.\nComfortable working in both office and operational environments, including regular interaction with warehouse and production areas while following all safety requirements.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings.\nGood written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English.\nEligibility to work in Italy.\nMinimum Qualifications Clarification\nCandidates are considered minimally qualified if they can demonstrate:\nPractical understanding of inventory, logistics, supply chain, warehouse, planning, or related operational processes through work experience, internships, apprenticeships, or relevant education.\nStrong Excel skills and comfort working with operational data.\nAbility to investigate issues, analyze information, and follow problems through to resolution.\nExperience or demonstrated capability to work with ERP or business systems.\nEnglish and Italian communication skills sufficient for daily business interactions.\nNot Minimally Qualified\nCandidates would generally not be considered minimally qualified if they:\nLack exposure to inventory, logistics, supply chain, warehouse, planning, or related operational activities.\nAre unable to work effectively with Excel or operational data.\nCannot demonstrate analytical problem-solving capabilities.\nHave no experience using business systems or ERP tools and are unable to learn system-based processes quickly.\nAre unable to communicate effectively in English for business purposes.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience coordinating subcontracting operations and managing material flows between manufacturing sites and external suppliers.\nExperience acting as an inventory owner, inventory champion, or key inventory control resource.\nKnowledge of inventory optimization techniques, including safety stock, reorder points, and stock parameter management.\nExperience with cycle count programs and inventory accuracy improvement initiatives.\nFamiliarity with ERP platforms such as Syteline, SAP, or similar systems.\nUnderstanding of production environments, manufacturing processes, and material planning concepts.\nExperience analyzing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting inventory reduction or obsolescence initiatives.\nEducation in logistics, supply chain, transportation, operations, planning, engineering, business, or a related discipline.\nRecent graduates with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and a genuine interest in supply chain operations are encouraged to apply.\nContinuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing solutions.\nOur Culture and Commitment To You\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
