In this role, you will support plastic injection molding operations by executing model changeovers, monitoring process performance, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will work closely with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering teams to maintain stable processes, product quality, and operational excellence.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nReview production schedules and prioritize model changeovers according to manufacturing requirements.\n\nExecute complete model changes, including machine shutdown, preparation, hopper cleaning, resin blending, startup, and process verification.\n\nSupport Process Technicians with machine recovery, process adjustments, purging activities, scrap reduction, and troubleshooting production issues.\n\nMaintain stable molding processes that achieve standard cycle times and complete cavity performance.\n\nAnalyze and adjust processes to address defects, quality concerns, or production inefficiencies.\n\nMonitor product quality throughout the shift and escalate issues when necessary.\n\nPerform routine mold cleaning, lubrication, nozzle inspection, and related preventive activities.\n\nComplete operational checklists, including shift startup, model changeovers, crane inspections, and other required documentation.\n\nVerify that molding machines, robots, temperature controllers, hot runner systems, granulators, and other peripheral equipment operate correctly.\n\nCommunicate equipment conditions, production status, and shift handoff information effectively.\n\nPromote and maintain housekeeping standards through 5S practices.\n\nCollaborate with Tool Room, Maintenance, Process Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support manufacturing objectives.\n\nFollow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and company policies related to ethics, safety, and workplace conduct.\n\nWho You Are:\nYou recognize when a solution can be sustainable.\nYou articulate credible pictures and visions of possibilities that will create sustainable value.\nYou display a can-do attitude in good and bad times.\nYou partner with others to get work done.\nYou provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and practical experience.\n\nExperience supporting plastic injection molding processes in a manufacturing environment.\n\nKnowledge of injection molding machines and production startup/changeover activities.\n\nUnderstanding of process troubleshooting and process stability concepts.\n\nFamiliarity with robots, temperature controllers, hot runner systems, granulators, valve gate systems, core-pull molds, air-shot systems, and related molding equipment.\n\nKnowledge of quality monitoring and manufacturing process controls.\n\nBasic understanding of Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems.\n\nAbility to read and follow technical instructions, procedures, and production documentation.\n\nTechnical English skills sufficient to understand work instructions and technical information.\n\nStrong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.\n\nCommitment to safety, continuous improvement, and workplace organization.\n\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nApproximately 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment.\n\nApproximately 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding operations.\n\nExperience supporting complex molding processes and high-volume manufacturing environments.\n\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.\n\nExperience troubleshooting molding defects and optimizing machine performance.\n\nFamiliarity with production reporting systems and manufacturing documentation.\n\nOur Culture & Commitment to You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
