You will build a high-performing engineering team while providing technical leadership and contributing to key engineering decisions across multiple initiatives.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nPeople Leadership & Team Development\nLead, coach, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and Cad Designers supporting new product development programs.\nEstablish clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with organizational objectives.\nConduct performance reviews, development planning, talent assessments.\nRecruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent while building organizational capability.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.\nCreate development opportunities that strengthen both technical expertise and leadership capabilities across the team.\nTechnical Leadership\nProvide technical leadership and oversight for mechanical engineering activities across multiple development programs.\nGuide product architecture decisions, design reviews, technology selection, and risk management activities.\nEnsure engineering solutions balance performance, manufacturability, reliability, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.\nReview and approve key technical deliverables and engineering decisions.\nServe as a technical escalation point for complex engineering challenges.\nRemain actively engaged in critical design, analysis, validation, and problem-solving activities when appropriate.\nNew Product Development Leadership\nPartner with Program Managers and Product Managers to ensure successful execution of product roadmaps.\nEnsure engineering deliverables support milestone commitments, product launch objectives, and business goals.\nManage technical risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.\nParticipate in gate reviews and provide recommendations regarding technical readiness and project execution.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nBuild strong partnerships across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Marketing.\nAlign stakeholders on technical direction, priorities, and project execution plans.\nPromote collaboration between global engineering teams to leverage expertise and accelerate development efforts.\nEngineering Excellence & Continuous Improvement\nDrive adoption of engineering best practices, design standards, and product development methodologies.\nChampion initiatives that improve product quality, engineering productivity, and development cycle time.\nEvaluate and implement emerging technologies, digital engineering tools, simulation methods, and AI-enabled engineering practices.\nContribute to long-term technology roadmaps and engineering strategy development.\nWho You Are\nYou are a leader who enjoys developing people as much as developing products.
