You will provide technical leadership for innovative software solutions spanning cloud, web, desktop, and industrial computing environments while collaborating with global teams to deliver technologies that create meaningful customer impact.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nLead the architecture, design, and technical direction of software solutions with a focus on AI-enabled capabilities and industrial software innovation.\n\nMake sound technical decisions and clearly communicate options, trade-offs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nDevelop, review, and optimize complex software components to ensure quality, maintainability, scalability, and reliability.\n\nPartner with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate customer and business needs into actionable technical solutions.\n\nEstablish and continuously improve engineering practices related to software quality, testing, security, performance, and delivery.\n\nMentor and support fellow developers by sharing knowledge, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.\n\nEvaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, helping the organization identify opportunities to drive innovation and customer value.\n\nCollaborate with globally distributed teams in an agile environment to deliver solutions that address complex industrial challenges.\n\nWho You Are:\nYou have a strong bottom-line orientation. You follow through on commitments.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.\n\nMinimum of 8 years demonstrated experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise software solutions.\n\nStrong proficiency in .NET (C#) and working knowledge of Python.\n\nExperience building and implementing solutions using large language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama, or similar AI technologies.\n\nExperience working with modern web application frameworks such as Angular, React, or comparable technologies.\n\nExperience developing solutions on at least one major cloud platform, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\n\nKnowledge of CI/CD practices, automated testing, and modern software development methodologies.\n\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience developing software for industrial devices, distributed systems, or real-time industrial applications.\n\nExperience with event streaming technologies and distributed systems.\n\nExperience building advanced AI solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, or real-time processing of structured and unstructured data.\n\nExperience working within manufacturing, process automation, industrial technology, or related industries.\n\nExperience leading technical initiatives across geographically dispersed teams.\n\nOur Culture and Commitment To You\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
