Project Materials Controller

InThisRole,YourResponsibilitiesWillBe:

• Develop,own,andmaintainacomprehensiveMaterialManagementPlanforassignedprojects,linkingeverypurchaserequirementtoprojectneed-bydates,supplierleadtimes,approvalcycles,andlogisticsmilestones.
• CollaboratewithProjectManagersandEngineeringteamstoalignprocurementactivitieswithprojectschedulesandengineeringreleaseplans.
• Planprocurementtimingbyconsideringsupplierleadtimes,internalapprovalprocesses,andtransportationrequirementstosupportprojectdeliverygoals.
• Manageallpre-orderplanningactivities,includingrequisitionplanning,scheduling,andreadinessreviews.
• Expediteopenpurchaseordersandcoordinatewithsuppliersandprocurementteamstosupporttimelyorderconfirmationanddelivery.
• Monitorandcoordinatematerialmovementactivities,includinginboundshipments,logisticsplanning,customsclearance,andsitedeliveryreadiness.
• Workcloselywithlogisticsandwarehouseteamstofacilitatethereceipt,storage,anddispatchofintercompanyandbuyoutmaterialswhileensuringgoodsreceiptactivitiesarecompletedaccurately.
• Maintainaccuratematerialtrackingtools,includingpurchaseorderstatus,estimateddeliverydates,andriskregisters.
• Provideregularupdatesandreportingonmaterialperformance,deliverymetrics,andproject-relatedriskstokeystakeholders.
• Identifypotentialmaterialsupplyrisks,includingsupplierdelays,extendedleadtimes,andengineeringchanges,andcollaboratewithcross-functionalteamstodevelopmitigationplans.
• Evaluatethematerialimpactofprojectchangesandupdateplanningrequirementsaccordingly.
• Supportquality-relatedactivitiesbycoordinatinginspectionschedulestoalignwithprojecttimelines.
• EnsurecompliancewithEmersonpolicies,businessethicsstandards,internationaltraderequirements,andapplicablebusinessunitprocedures.
• Analysematerialplanningdataandperformancemetricstoimprovevisibility,decision-making,andprojectoutcomes.

• Resolvecomplexmaterialplanningchallengesthroughproactivecoordination,dataanalysis,andriskmanagement.

• Knowledgeofsupplierleadtimes,approvalworkflows,andimport/exportlogisticsprocesses.
• Demonstratedexperienceexpeditingordersandcollaboratingwithsuppliersandinternalstakeholderstoresolvesupplychallenges.
• Stronganalyticalskillswiththeabilitytotrackmaterialstatus,deliverytimelines,andprojectrisksthroughdata-drivenreporting.
• ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficeapplicationsandERP/MRPsystemssuchasOracleorSAP.
• Abilitytoworkeffectivelywithmultiplestakeholdersacrossamatrixorganisation.
• Understandingofmaterialplanningrequirementssupportingindustrialprojects.
• Flexibilitytotravelasrequiredtosupportbusinessneeds.

• Experiencesupportingindustriessuchasoilandgas,chemical,petrochemical,valves,automation,manufacturing,orotherproject-basedsectorsisbeneficial.

PreferredQualificationsThatSetYouApart:

• DegreeinInstrumentation,Mechanical,ElectricalEngineering,SupplyChainManagement,Operations,orarelateddiscipline.
• ExperiencesupportingMechanical,ElectricalandInstrumentationsystems,custodytransfermeteringsystems,analysersystems,industrialautomationprojects,orsimilartechnicalenvironments.
• Experienceinmaterialplanning,productionplanning,projectcoordination,supplychainexecution,orrelatedoperationalroles.
• Professionalcertificationsinsupplychain,materialsmanagement,orproductionplanningsuchasAPICSCPIMorCSCPareadvantageous.
• Strongcommunication,collaboration,andstakeholdermanagementskills.

• Demonstratedabilitytomanageprioritiesacrossmultipleprojectssimultaneously.
