Proposals Engineer

If you are an Engineer seeking an opportunity to grow and drive solutions across both the power and water automation industries, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!Based in our Cranberry Township, PA office, the Proposal Engineer will be part of the New Generation Power Projects Proposals team and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to develop Ovation-based solutions for New Generation Power Projects across North America. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Prepare DCS proposals for new generation power projects in response to customer requests.
• Perform review of customer specifications and confirm compliance.
• Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost-effective solutions.
• Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson’s capabilities and understand application needs.
• Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning.
• Partner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with controls and automation (DCS/PLC/SCADA) systems.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT) , H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge in proposal development, cost estimating, project management, or project engineering.
  • Experience with the Ovation DCS platform.
  • Experience preparing technical compliance clarifications and exceptions.
  • Experience working across a variety of groups in a large organization.
• Demonstrate the need to know the latest on new technologies and make learning a priority.
