The position has direct responsibility for improving customer quality metrics, reducing the cost of poor quality, and ensuring compliance with applicable customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nLead investigations of customer complaints, nonconformances, and manufacturing quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nDrive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify effectiveness of implemented solutions.\nAnalyze quality data and lead initiatives to improve customer quality metrics (PPM, response time) and internal quality metrics (FPY, scrap, rework, COPQ).\nUtilize FMEA, Control Plans, Process Mapping, SPC, and risk assessment tools to identify and mitigate quality risks.\nSupport customer audits, supplier quality activities, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.\nDevelop and deliver quality-related training while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.\nSupport automation projects, quality digitalization, reporting, and data analytics initiatives. \nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related related technical field.\nMinimum 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience within valve manufacturing, pressure equipment, or a related industrial manufacturing environment.\nExperience supporting customer complaints, machining, assembly, testing, inspection, and manufacturing process monitoring.\nKnowledge of ASME Codes, PED, NDT methods, and applicable industry standards.\nProficient in ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and audit processes.\nStrong understanding of GD&T, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.\nExperience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, DMAIC, and Six-Step Method.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements. \nLegal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience with automation and digitalization projects is preferred. \nProficient with Microsoft Office; Power BI, Minitab, and ERP system experience preferred.\nOur Culture & Commitment to You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
