This multifaceted role combines RF hardware design, semiconductor test engineering, customer engagement, and system deployment. You will collaborate closely with customers, alliance partners, sales teams, and cross-functional engineering organizations to deliver innovative solutions that address complex technical challenges across the semiconductor ecosystem.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nTranslate customer, product, and RF subsystem requirements into clear technical specifications, design constraints, acceptance criteria, and verification strategies.\nDesign, simulate, model, characterize, and validate RF and microwave hardware solutions, ensuring strong correlation between simulation and measured performance.\nEvaluate emerging technologies through research, feasibility studies, prototyping, and rapid experimentation.\nLead technical work across the product lifecycle, including concept development, validation and verification, compliance, new product introduction, and sustaining engineering activities.\nDesign and develop RF subsystems including front-end architectures, local oscillators, PLLs, filters, mixers, power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, switches, couplers, and related circuitry.\nAssess system-level performance involving signal conditioning paths, measurement chains, embedded interfaces, and subsystem integrations.\nDevelop automated test methodologies and execute RF characterization using industry-standard instrumentation.\nTroubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution through structured problem-solving techniques.\nCollaborate with digital, mechanical, software, systems, calibration, quality, test, and operations teams to achieve product and program objectives.\nSupport system deployment, integration, and troubleshooting activities at customer sites worldwide.\nPartner with customers and manufacturing organizations to improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nProvide technical guidance, training, and support throughout project execution and operational deployment.\nTravel domestically and internationally as required to support customer engagements and project success.\nWho You Are:\nYou build collaborative relationships to achieve shared objectives and create strong partnerships across functions and organizations. You consistently drive work to completion, take ownership of results, and communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.\n5+ years of relevant industry experience in a System Design Role, Application Engineering, Technical Field Sales or a Test Engineering Design Role\nExperience in RF systems, semiconductor test engineering, application engineering, system design, technical sales engineering, or related technical fields.\nKnowledge of RFIC and mixed-signal IC testing and validation.\nExperience supporting semiconductor technologies such as RF front-end modules, on-wafer testing, IPD, ADC/DAC devices, LEDs, MEMS sensors, PMICs, or similar products.\nExperience with software and system development, including test-case creation and validation methodologies.\nProficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, Visual Basic, Java, or similar languages.\nExperience with semiconductor test software environments such as SmarTest, IG-XL, or equivalent platforms.\nExperience with major automated test equipment platforms such as Advantest V93000, Teradyne UltraFLEX, J750, or similar systems.\nHands-on experience using RF and electrical measurement instruments, including spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes, source measure units, and power meters.\nUnderstanding of measurement uncertainty, system integration concepts, grounding, shielding, and electrical test methodologies.\nFamiliarity with schematic capture tools and printed circuit board design principles.\nKnowledge of statistical analysis techniques including Cp, Cpk, and Gauge R&R.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience with NI PXI platforms, LabVIEW, TestStand, or related automated test solutions.\nAdvanced RF and microwave circuit design experience.\nFamiliarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes, handlers, probers, fabrication flows, and production test environments.\nExperience publishing technical papers or presenting at industry conferences, technical symposiums, or peer-reviewed journals.\nAdvanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience supporting global customers and complex engineering programs across multiple regions.\nOur Culture & Commitment to You\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
