In this role, you will help ensure our hardware product designs meet technical specifications and customer needs and are manufacturable. You will have the opportunity to work with both local and global teams to design a variety of test and measurement products.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProduct Design & Engineering\nLead the design and development of electronics packaging from concept to production.\nDefine the mechanical architecture and select materials, components, and hardware to meet product requirements.\nPerform tolerance, thermal, and structural analyses to identify risks and ensure product reliability.\nPlan and conduct mechanical testing, analyze results, and improve the design.\nManufacturing & Supplier Support\nDevelop specifications for mechanical materials and manufacturing processes.\nQualify and support suppliers to meet manufacturing and quality requirements.\nSupport manufacturing to resolve issues, improve yield, and maintain product quality.\nWork with procurement and suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery of mechanical parts.\nTechnical Leadership & Capability Building\nProvide technical guidance, mentor engineers, and improve mechanical design practices.\nWho You Are:\nYou build trust by delivering on commitments and taking ownership of outcomes, even when challenges are complex or ambiguous. You adapt quickly in a dynamic environment and continuously look for better ways to improve products, processes, and customer impact.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nA minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably with electronics hardware or industrial products.\nSolid understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, tolerance stack-up, materials, and common manufacturing processes.\nAbility to plan, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks.\nAbility to collaborate well in a group environment and solve problems effectively. \nAbility to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, in a global engineering environment.\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience using CAD and CAE tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.\nHands-on experience in thermal testing, designing metal and plastic components, and working with related manufacturing methods.\nExposure to high-mix, low-volume product development or sustaining engineering roles.\nExperience in thermal analysis and structural simulation.\nExperience supporting supplier qualification, material changes, or production support activities.\nOur Culture and Commitment to You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
