We build IP at different levels to offer outstanding system-level solutions.\nIn this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nThe Software Engineering Intern will be responsible for the development of software components addressing various customer requirements in the focus applications of the ADG Systems R&D Department. They will work closely with domain experts within the ADG Unit to execute the implementation strategy of critical software components, system-level software architectures, and APIs/User Interfaces (UIs).\nImplement and test software features and capabilities for new and existing offerings in key application spaces.\nWork in an Agile team environment to prioritize work items and leverage resources to deliver features in a release on-time.\nFollow and refine coding guidelines and provide effective code reviews.\nContribute to writing effective test plans.\n\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nProficiency in programming languages and development experience on Windows/Linux platform in traditional text-based programming and/or NI Software.\nWorking towards a BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Science, Computer Science.\nBasic understanding of software design principles.\nUS Citizen and/or US Person - required by law, regulations and/or government contracts with the DoD.\nPreferred Qualifications we are looking for\nUnderstanding of NI software tools (LabVIEW, TestStand, Veristand).\nExperience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools and processes. \nHands on use of NI Hardware Platforms.\nUnderstanding of Agile software development principles.\nDemonstrated ability to:Persistently drive tasks and lead projects to successful completion.\nEffectively interact and communicate with engineering teams and management.\nProblem-solving skills, including effectively diagnosing technical issues and proposing reasonable solutions.\nQuickly learn applicable technology, systems, and products.\n\nOur Offer to You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
