By partnering closely with cross-functional teams, you will advocate quality, represent the customer perspective, and contribute to innovative solutions that support successful product releases.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nChampion quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle by identifying risks early and supporting informed release decisions.\n\nDevelop a strong understanding of software platform, customer workflows, integrations, and operational use cases to ensure effective test coverage.\n\nTranslate business and technical requirements into comprehensive test strategies that address functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.\n\nExecute exploratory, functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end testing activities while documenting results and communicating outcomes clearly.\n\nInvestigate, document, and verify software defects, working collaboratively with stakeholders to drive effective resolution.\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain automated tests that improve efficiency, reduce repetitive manual effort, and strengthen release confidence.\n\nPartner with developers, product owners, and subject matter experts to improve requirements clarity, acceptance criteria, and testability early in the development process.\n\nUtilize AI-enabled tools responsibly to support test design, automation development, test data creation, analysis, documentation, and defect investigation while validating outputs for accuracy and quality.\n\nAnalyze testing trends and quality metrics to identify opportunities for product, automation, and process improvements.\n\nCollaborate with product management, development, user experience, architecture, operations, support, and domain experts to deliver customer-focused solutions.\n\nActively contribute to Agile, Scrum, and SAFe ceremonies, promoting quality-focused practices and continuous improvement.\n\nWho You Are:\nYou have a strong bottom-line orientation. You anticipate the impact of emerging technologies and makes adjustments.\nFor This Role, You Will Need:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.\n\nMinimum of 4 years’ experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing of web-based, enterprise, or complex software applications.\n\nKnowledge of software testing principles, exploratory testing, test design techniques, defect management, and risk-based testing approaches.\n\nExperience designing and executing tests across user interfaces, APIs, integrations, backend services, and data workflows.\n\nExperience developing or maintaining automated tests using modern frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.\n\nProficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java.\n\nExperience using relational databases and SQL for test data management, validation, and troubleshooting.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:\nExperience balancing manual testing activities with scalable and maintainable automated test coverage.\n\nExperience using Azure DevOps, Git-based workflows, test management tools, and CI/CD practices.\n\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted tools to enhance testing, automation, analysis, and quality practices.\n\nExperience testing cloud-based, SaaS, distributed, or highly integrated software solutions.\n\nExperience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments with geographically distributed teams.\n\nExperience supporting industrial automation, SCADA, control systems, IoT, IIoT, telemetry, or related operational technology solutions.\n\nOur Culture and Commitment To You:\nAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
