Tactical Purchasing Specialist

InThisRole,YourResponsibilitiesWill Be:

• Convertpurchaserequisitionsintopurchaseordersandmanageopenpurchaseorderreports.
• Partnerwithsupplierstoobtainpurchaseorderacknowledgements,deliveryconfirmations,andorderstatusupdates.
• Maintainaccurateconfirmationanddeliverydateswithinenterpriseresourceplanning(ERP)systems.
• Respondtopurchaseorderandmaterial-relatedinquiriesfrommanufacturingplantsandinternalstakeholders.
• Monitorsupplyanddemandrequirementsandsupportinventoryreplenishmentdecisions.
• Reviewandprocesssystem-generatedplanningexceptionssuchasexpedite,defer,orrescheduleactions.
• Coordinatewithsupplierstomaintainaccuratepromisedatesandorderconfirmations.
• Collaboratewithglobalstakeholders,includingCategoryManagers,ProductionandInventoryControlteams,andValueStreamleaderstosupportmaterialavailability.
• Supportsupplierrelationshipmanagementinitiativesandworkwithsupplierperformanceandcategorymanagementteamstoimprovesupplierdelivery,responsiveness,quality,andservicelevels.
• Partnerwithfinanceteamstohelpfacilitatetimelysupplierpaymentresolution.
• CompletematerialmastersetupactivitiesandmaintaindataaccuracywithinERPsystems.
• Managerequisition-to-purchaseorderconversionactivitiesformaintenance,repair,andoperations(MRO)purchases.
• Validatesupplierleadtimesandensurealignmentwithoperationalrequirements.
• Supportmaterialmasterdataauditsandcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
• Communicateactions,resolutions,andupdateseffectivelywithplantandsitebuyers.
• Assistinpreparingmonthly,quarterly,andannualreportsrelatedtosupplierandoperationalperformance.
• Escalatesupplierdeliverychallengestosupplychainandplanningleadershipasappropriate.
• Monitorandhelpresolveparkedorblockedinvoicediscrepanciesinatimelymanner.
• Supportsuppliernegotiationsrelatedtocost,delivery,andinventoryobjectiveswhilemaintainingstrongsupplierpartnerships.
• Contributetoprocessimprovementinitiativesthatenhanceprocurementefficiency,supplierperformance,andbusinessresults.

• Experienceinpurchasing,procurement,supplychain,sourcing,manufacturing,orarelatedoperationalenvironment.
• Knowledgeofsourcingpractices,supplychainprocesses,procurementoperations,contractingprinciples,andsuppliermanagement.
• ExperienceworkingwithERPsystemssuchasSAP,Oracle,orsimilarbusinessplatforms.
• Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskillswiththeabilitytointerpretdataandgenerateactionableinsights.
• Proficiencywithdigitaltoolsandreportingplatformsusedfordataanalysis,reporting,andsupplychaindecision-making.
• ExperienceusingMicrosoftExcelandotherbusinessapplicationsfordatamanagementandreporting.
• Strongorganizationalskillsandtheabilitytomanagemultipleprioritieseffectively.
• Effectivecommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills.
• Aproactiveapproachtolearning,collaboration,andcontinuousimprovement.

PreferredQualificationsThatSetYouApart:

• Bachelor'sdegreeorequivalentexperienceinSupplyChainManagement,Engineering,Business,Operations,orarelatedfield.
• Experiencesupportingsupplierperformance,sourcinginitiatives,procurementoperations,ormaterialplanningactivities.
• ExposuretodatavisualizationandanalyticstoolssuchasPowerBI,Tableau,SQL,orsimilarplatforms.
• Projectmanagementexperienceorprojectmanagementcertification.
• Experienceworkingwithinaglobalormatrixedorganization.
• Flexibilitytosupportbusinessrequirementsacrossdifferentshiftschedules,including6:00AMto3:00PM,12:00PMto9:00PM,or4:30PMto1:30AM.
